Into the Dangerous World I Leapt
Three month game project. A collaboration between scenography, digital design and game design programs on LTU. Spring 2021.
In this 2h+ long exploration game the player takes the role of a small girl working at a fabric mill in London. The year is 1801, at the height of the industrial evolution. The game starts with your brothers mysterious disappearance from the company dorm in the middle of the night. When you follow him, you are thrown into a strange new world. The goal of the game is to find your brother by exploring the “normal” and the “other” world, talking to people and creatures, and solving puzzles.
Our production team consisted of twelve students, four each from scenography, digital design and game design programs respectively. I acted as the director and producer, managed our teams agile board, was responsible for delivering weeklies, and had a final say on creative decisions. My other tasks within the group included drawing concept art, doing set design in Unreal 4, as well as doing game-flow, mission design and writing the game along with fellow team members. During post-production I was responsible for look of the itch.io and steam page and created the trailers.
The game is available as a free download, follow the links below.
